Danmarks Meteorologiske Institut's National Centre for Climate Research (NCKF) seeks a Student Assistant to support IT tasks in NCKF-SAT in Copenhagen. You will help implement and monitor processing jobs for production suites and contribute to data quality and validation work.

You will work between the IT infrastructure and researchers, with flexible hours (10-15 per week) and close collaboration with the NCKF-SAT team, gaining hands-on experience in climate data processing and remote sensing

Qualifikationen

• Proficient with a computer and comfortable in a Linux environment.
• Experience programming in Python and working with Git.
• Insights into statistical methods and experience handling large amounts of data.
• Interest in remote sensing and geophysics.
• Collaborates easily and wishes to become part of DMI’s NCKF-SAT unit.

Aufgaben

• Assist researchers in implementing processing jobs for operational production suites.
• Link between the operational IT department and researchers developing algorithms.
• Help set up monitoring of production and product quality; assist in validation reports (OSI-SAF, C3S).
• Quality-assure data and contribute to validation reports (e.g., half-year reports).
