Job summary

TotalEnergies Denmark A/S is seeking a Student Assistant to support the accounting team with day-to-day finance operations across the Nordic Hub. The role offers real-world accounting experience in an international setting and close collaboration with the Shared Service Center.

You will perform vendor and customer accounting tasks, assist with reconciliations and payments, and participate in month-end activities, while developing skills in data, automation, and finance processes.

Qualifications

  • Currently studying towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree with at least two years remaining.
  • Able to work 15–20 hours a week with exam periods in mind.
  • Interest in accounting and administrative finance processes."
  • Interest in data, AI, systems, or automation is a plus.
  • Structured, detail-oriented, and reliable with documentation and data.
  • Comfortable using Excel and eager to develop skills.

TotalEnergies Denmark A/S is currently looking for a talented Student Assistant to support our accounting team with day-to-day finance operations. The role is connected to the branch Marketing & Services, Nordic Hub, with colleagues across all 4 Nordic countries. With more than 15 different nationalities in the Nordic Hub you will be part of a true international atmosphere and work from our attractive office premises at Amerika Plads, Copenhagen O.

You will work closely with our local accounting team and Shared Service Center in Bucharest, gain insight into vendor and customer accounting processes, and take on responsibility from day one. We look forward to sharing our knowledge with you and supporting your development.

Activities
About the role

As a Student Assistant, you will support day-to-day accounting activities across several Nordic entities. The role covers a broad range of accounting tasks, from vendor, customer accounting to reconciliations and payment processing.

Tasks and responsibilities may vary depending on business needs, and you will also receive ad-hoc assignments from the CFO and Management at large.

Key responsibilities
  • Daily accounting tasks including debit and credit postings
  • Processing and monitoring vendor and customer transactions
  • Preparing and reviewing weekly payments
  • Follow up on outstanding Receivables
  • Customer Account reconciliations
  • Assist Shared Service Center with payment allocations on accounts
  • Assist with month-end closing activities
  • Collaborating closely with the Shared Service Center
  • Support audit requests and documentation gathering
  • Handling ad-hoc accounting tasks from management and the CFO
Candidate Profile
Whom are we looking for?

The ideal candidate:

  • Is currently studying towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree, ideally within finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field, with at least two years remaining
  • Can work 15-20 hours a week, with flexibility around exams and study periods
  • Has an interest in accounting and administrative finance processes
  • Has an interest in or experience with data, AI, systems, or automation
  • Is structured, detail-oriented, and reliable in handling documentation and data
  • Is comfortable using Excel and interested in developing your skills
