Job summary

Dover Food Retail (DFR) is seeking a Strategic Purchaser to join our international team in Denmark. You will analyze categories, negotiate contracts, and ensure internal functions have what they need, when they need it.

You will join a team of 5 in Purchasing and collaborate with Planning, Production, Engineering, Quality, and Sales. English is required; manufacturing experience is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Experienced: 5+ years in strategic purchasing or procurement, ideally from manufacturing.
• Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or similar—but your track record matters most.
• A balanced negotiator: drive down costs while maintaining supplier relationships.
• Analytical yet entrepreneurial: love data and building things from scratch.
• Strong collaborator: effective across function and with external partners.

Can you turn data into sharp supplier agreements without losing track of daily operations? We are looking for a Strategic Purchaser to join our international team. We care about finding the best solutions for our customers, and we need someone who are motivated building smart purchasing strategies—and executing them. This is a newly created position. You will join a team of 5 colleagues in Purchasing, and you will spend a lot of your time talking to Planning, Production, Engineering, Quality, and Sales. Your job is simple: make sure our internal functions have what they need, when they need it.

What you will actually do

• Analyze your categories, look at numbers, and figure out how we buy smarter.
• Negotiate: Price checks, contracts, and terms.
• You will handle supplier agreements alongside your colleagues in the team.
• Keep suppliers sharp: Audit them, check their quality, and keep a close eye on delivery reliability using simple KPIs.
• Fix the groundwork: Optimize our purchasing processes and tools so everything runs systematically.

Who you are

• Experienced: You have 5+ years under your belt in strategic purchasing or procurement, ideally from a manufacturing company.
• Educated your way: You probably hold a degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or similar—but your track record matters most.
• A balanced negotiator: You know how to drive down costs and negotiate hard, without ruining good supplier relationships.
• Analytical but entrepreneurial: You love digging into data, but you also have the drive to build things from scratch and jump into daily operational tasks when needed.
• A natural collaborator: You talk easily with everyone, from the factory floor to external partners, and you focus on getting results through teamwork.
• Language: You speak and write English effortlessly, as it is our company language. It’s a plus (but not a dealbreaker) if you have technical experience or have previously purchased electrical components and products.
