Job summary

Uber's Deployment Engine team is the backbone of how Uber safely ships innovation at scale, powering 150M+ consumers and 7M+ drivers across 70+ countries. You will design and own rollout systems that observe, recover, and protect production, influencing global architecture and engineering velocity.

You will mentor engineers, set engineering culture, and collaborate with platform teams to evolve deployment pipelines.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience building scalable, fault-tolerant products or platforms.
• Deep expertise in one or more core programming languages (Go, C/C++, Java, Python).
• Experience leading large-scale engineering initiatives from inception to global rollout.
• Ability to evaluate complex engineering and business trade-offs (buy vs. build).

Responsibilities

• Architect safe rollout systems at massive global scale.
• Empower hundreds of engineers by building reliable deployment pipelines.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship across the stack.
• Set engineering culture and promote AI-first development tools without compromising quality.
