Job summary

NNIT is seeking a skilled Site Reliability Engineer to operate an on-prem Kubernetes platform for a customer, collaborating with the customer’s developers and the infrastructure provider to ensure reliability and scalable performance.

You will design, deploy, and maintain Kubernetes environments, lead changes, and drive automation with GitOps. The role emphasizes reliability, monitoring, and incident response to minimize on-call work.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with on-prem Kubernetes, including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Proven experience with managing on-prem Kubernetes clusters for production environments.
• Proven experience with Linux system administration and networking concepts.
• Experience with on-prem infrastructure management.
• GitOps approach to all changes (configuration as code, version managed and automated deployments)
• Proficiency in declarative approaches and automation using tools like Jsonnet, ArgoCD, Ansible, Terraform and python scripting.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, agile environment and communicate effectively with the customer

For one of our DK customers weare looking for a skilled Site Reliability Engineer to operate an on-premKubernetes Platform for one customer, and deliver on service/change requests.

Job Description:

You work either today as a Sitereliability Engineer and would like to move into Platform Engineering or workas a Platform engineer today and is motivated by IT Operations.

As a Site Reliability Engineerspecializing in on-prem Kubernetes at NNIT, you will be responsible formaintaining and optimizing the Customer’s Kubernetes clusters deployed on-prem.You will also be responsible for the collaboration with the Customer’s Applicationdevelopers and the Infrastructure Provider to ensure the reliability,scalability, and performance of the Kubernetes Platform.

As Platform Engineer you lead theimplementation and management of changes. In this role, you will be responsiblefor designing, deploying, and maintaining Kubernetes environments that meet ourclients’ specific needs. You will work closely with the Customer’s applicationdevelopment team to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.

Requirements:

• Proven experience with on-prem Kubernetes, including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Proven experience with managing on-prem Kubernetes clusters for production environments.
• Proven experience with Linux system administration and networking concepts.
• Experience with on-prem infrastructure management.
• Experience with containerization technologies.
• GitOps approach to all changes you do (configuration as code, version managed and automated deployments)
• Proficiency in declarative approaches and automation using tools like e.g. Jsonnet, ArgoCD, Ansible, Terraform and python scripting.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, agile environment and communicate effectively with the customer

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in a similar role, in a cloud-native focused environment.
• Kubernetes certification (Certified Kubernetes Administrator - CKA).
• Experience with GitOps workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven experience in ITIL service processes.
• Knowledge of security best practices for Kubernetes deployments.
• Datatekniker specialized in infrastructure, Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related education.
