Job summary

The LEGO Group in Billund, Denmark seeks a Senior Quality Manager in Development to safeguard quality across the product lifecycle. You will enable feasible, lovable products through collaboration, data-driven approaches and by developing and implementingQuality-in-Development systems and procedures with stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Quality management, product or technology development.
  • Cross-functional international work environment experience preferred.
  • Ability to lead with a structured/systematic approach and engage teams.
  • Strong collaboration, facilitation and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate technical topics to quality mindset and business decisions.
  • Experience with APQP and DFSS desirable.
  • Experience activating tools like QFD, FMEA, SPC in trade-off discussions.

Responsibilities

  • Define and enable streams to secure QA activities with sponsors and leads.
  • Translate ideas into clearly defined targets and ensure QA throughout product life cycle.
  • Build the quality strategy for verification and validation and drive target setting.
  • Understand issues, opportunities and risk from a quality perspective.
  • Support leadership on tradeoffs, priorities and resources for QA in development.
  • Report and mitigate risks and critical project matters related to quality and feasibility.
  • Engage QA capabilities across Engineering and Quality teams.

Core Responsibilities

Within Product & Technology Development processes you will…

  • Define and enable project streams to secure relevant Quality Assurance (QA) activities in close collaboration with sponsors and project leads in Engineering and Quality teams
  • Drive the translation of ideas & concept requirements into clearly defined targets and ensure QA activities to design the right quality output through the product life cycle
  • Build the quality strategy for verification and validation while ensuring objectives and target setting for quality requirements and performance
  • Actively seek holistic understanding of issues, opportunities and risk impact from a Quality point of view
  • Support project and sponsor leadership teams on tradeoff decisions, priorities, capability building, allocation of resources related to quality assurance in development projects
  • Report, intensify and mitigate risks and critical project matters related to quality and technical feasibility
  • Engage and build Quality Assurance capabilities with colleagues across Engineering and Quality teams

As Quality in Development Sr. Quality Manager you play an enabling role in launching feasible, lovable and viable products driven by collaboration and a data driven approach. You are safeguarding and assuring quality in the LEGO Group product portfolio throughout the product lifecycle. Furthermore, you are developing, adapting and implementing systems and procedures within Quality in Development and its main Product & Technology Development stakeholders

Do you have what it takes?
  • 5+ years of experience from Manufacturing/Engineering quality or Project management and understand the dynamic of project development and implementation in such environment
  • Experience from Quality management, Product Development and/or Technology development in cross-functional international work environment
  • Driver/lead profile with a Structured/Systematic approach combined with motivational and engaging people skills
  • Strong collaboration, facilitation and communication skills
  • Ability to engage with both hardcore tech specialists and business leader levels, translating technical topics to quality mindset and business decisions
  • APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) experience and preferably experience with project management
  • Ability to activate statistical tools and advanced quality tools (QFD, FMEA, SPC, …) as both enablers to secure play experience and in tough trade-off discussions
  • A positive mindset that fits the LEGO culture & leadership behaviours Collaborative skills, securing Motivation & Engagement while using your curiosity, bravery and focus to understand, engage and progress in the projects
  • Fluent proficiency in English

The position is based in Billund, DK and relocation support is not offered for this role.
