Job summary

The LEGO Group is seeking a transformational QEHS leader to define direction for quality and EHS, while building a high-performing team across sites. You will partner with site leadership and drive zero-defect culture through audits, defect elimination, and process alignment.

Based in Billund, DK, you will manage multi-million DKK budgets and lead global initiatives, including LEAN and Six-Sigma programs, with travel for global alignment.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading quality and safety in a large manufacturing setting.
  • Knowledge of global QEHS frameworks and certifications.
  • Proven ability to drive change, cost budgets, and cross-site alignment.

Responsibilities

  • Set direction for quality and EHS; lead the leadership team.
  • Build and motivate a diverse, future-ready team including senior leaders.
  • Collaborate as a business partner to site leadership.
  • Handle customer audits, complaints, and drive defect elimination.
  • Align QEHS with overall business strategy; chair EHS Team Production.
  • Manage a 30 million DKK cost budget and 5-10 million DKK investment budget.
  • Lead global knowledge sharing, equipment development, and process alignment.

Job Description Join us as a transformational leader, influencing innovation height within The LEGO Group. Core Responsibilities
  • Set and define direction for quality and EHS, driving the leadership team in that direction.
  • Build a strong, diverse team that are fit for the future, while developing & motivating team members, including senior leaders and specialists, to foster a high-performing organization.
  • Collaborate as a strong leadership team member, acting as a business partner to the site leadership team.
  • Handle customer audits, complaints, and drive defect elimination to create a zero-defect culture.
  • Align QEHS initiatives and organizational development with overall business strategy.
  • Be the EHS Chairman of EHS Team Production, and run Q-EHS wheel.
  • Manage a cost budget of 30 million DKK and an investment budget of 5-10 million DKK.
  • Lead global initiatives for knowledge sharing, equipment development, and process alignment across sites.

You’ll influence innovation across our global platforms and play a key role in integrating innovation with mass production excellence. Collaborate with teams locally and globally to drive decision‑making and innovation.

Do You Have What It Takes?

The ideal candidate has experience managing quality/safety in a factory setting, with deep knowledge of quality processes in large‑scale manufacturing. They have several years of experience as a transformational leader with the ability to lead change, manage necessary transformations, and streamline operations effectively. Moreover, they come with:

  • Industrial experience within manufacturing (ideally from automotive)
  • Expert knowledge of supply chain management and certifications like IATF 16949, ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP, VDA 6.3
  • Lead Auditor, Six-Sigma Black Belt, and Certified Safety Professional
  • Several years experience working with LEAN, and working on failure analysis and problem solving
  • Strong people management skills and experience with org development
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to structure clear documents and presentations, translating complex topics into concise and compelling messages for senior collaborators.
  • Ability to travel 10+ days yearly to secure global alignment.

The position is based in Billund, DK and relocation support is not offered for this role.
