Sr AI Experience Strategist (Temporary contract)

As Senior AI Experience Strategist, you will help shape how employees across Novo Nordisk work with AI. You will connect employee needs, business priorities and AI capabilities to identify where AI can make a meaningful difference – and what it takes for people to use it with confidence. From understanding a difficult task to testing a redesigned workflow, your evidence will guide what we pursue, improve or stop, creating better everyday work and demonstrable value for the business.

What you’ll bring

You are a senior experience practitioner who connects strategic thinking with practical delivery. We welcome varied professional backgrounds and equivalent practical experience.

• Substantial expertise in experience strategy, service design, human-centred design, UX research or a related discipline.
• Experience leading complex work independently, navigating ambiguity and setting clear priorities when information is incomplete.
• The ability to turn research into strategic recommendations and tangible improvements, choosing methods that fit the question and explaining the evidence behind your decisions.
• Clear communication and strong facilitation skills, with the judgement to influence stakeholders and build shared understanding.
• Experience collaborating with technical, business, AI and enablement specialists, connecting different perspectives and understanding delivery constraints.
• A practical understanding of what AI can and cannot do, including what that means for trust, usability and human judgement. Deep AI engineering expertise is not required.

Useful, but not essential :

• Experience with enterprise employee experiences, AI-enabled workflows, technology adoption, or complex or regulated organisations.

You listen carefully, respect different perspectives and are willing to question a first idea. You keep work focused, simplify where you can and act decisively as the evidence develops.

What you’ll do

As a senior individual contributor, your scope goes beyond individual interfaces to the services, decisions and handovers that shape everyday work. You will use research, service design, prototyping and evaluation to turn evidence into clear recommendations, make trade-offs visible and take responsibility for outcomes.

• Research employees’ needs, tasks and working practices – including workarounds and barriers to AI adoption – and share the findings as clear, actionable insights that guide decisions.
• Frame ambiguous challenges and shape an employee-centred AI experience direction, connecting employee evidence with business priorities and technical possibilities to influence priorities for AI transformation work.
• Map existing workflows and services, and design improved ways of working across people, AI, systems and organisational boundaries, with clear responsibilities and handovers.
• Translate insights into experience principles, concepts, service blueprints and prototypes that make recommendations tangible and testable.
• Design and evaluate how employees work with AI – providing context, assessing outputs, acting on them, correcting errors and keeping appropriate control – together with technical specialists who address limitations.
• Facilitate workshops and decisions with business and technical stakeholders, challenge assumptions constructively and build agreement on priorities, trade-offs and next steps.
• Run focused experiments to evaluate usability, task outcomes, confidence, adoption and business value, using the results to refine the experience and inform delivery decisions.

You will join the AI Employee Experience team, part of the AI Employee Experience and Enablement department in Enterprise AI, within Enterprise IT & Quality. Colleagues in Enterprise IT & Quality work across the Novo Nordisk value chain, staying close to stakeholders and helping deliver trusted technology and responsible ways of working.

The team connects employee needs with business priorities to shape AI experiences that are useful, trustworthy and easier to adopt. By helping employees work effectively with AI, the team supports Novo Nordisk’s ambition to become the most AI-driven healthcare company in the world.

Your closest partners will be technical, business, AI and enablement colleagues. You will bring their perspectives together, create clarity when work stalls and help move ideas from evidence to decision at pace.

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 651,000 to 956,900 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position.

The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.

Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
