Job summary

Danfoss IXA seeks a Specialist, Strategic Procurement & Quality in Denmark to secure supplier partnerships, materials, and agreements supporting growth. You will balance cost, quality, delivery, and risks while working in a small, agile team to ensure material availability and resilient supply chains.

Role combines strategic sourcing with hands-on purchasing and requires collaboration across functions to drive improvements and business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in strategic purchasing, sourcing, procurement, or supply chain in manufacturing/engineering/technical environments.
• Proven ability to negotiate with suppliers while balancing cost, quality, delivery and risks.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud and ERP-supported purchasing and material planning.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage supplier base to balance cost, quality, delivery, inventory and risk.
• Lead supplier selection, sourcing, negotiations, contracting, onboarding and quality performance management.
• Drive cost improvements and strengthen supply continuity through risk management and inventory strategies.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Operations, Planning, Finance, Sales and Business Development on projects and material availability.
• Combine strategic purchasing with hands-on operational purchasing to resolve supply chain challenges.
• Improve stock management, increase transparency and drive productivity.

Your work will help secure material availability, strong supplier performance, and competitive cost levels, ensuring the business can meet both customer expectations and future growth ambitions. What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop and manage the supplier base, balancing cost, quality, delivery performance, inventory, and supply risk.
• Lead supplier selection, sourcing activities, commercial negotiations, contracting, onboarding, and ongoing supplier quality performance management.
• Drive cost improvements and strengthen supply continuity through structured risk management, inventory strategies, and mitigation plans.
• Partner with colleagues across R&D, Quality, Operations, Planning, Finance, Sales, and Business Development to support projects and secure material availability.
• Combine strategic purchasing responsibilities with hands-on operational purchasing activities, helping resolve supply chain challenges and secure uninterrupted business operations.
• Improve stock management, increase transparency, and drive productivity improvements to support business performance.

You will also serve as a key user and go-to person for our SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud system, supporting the team and contributing to reliable material data and processes.

What We're Looking For

• Experience within strategic purchasing, sourcing, procurement, or supply chain in a manufacturing, engineering, or technical environment.
• Proven ability to negotiate with suppliers and manage commercial agreements while balancing cost, quality, delivery performance, and supply risk.
• Experience working with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, and using ERP systems to support purchasing, material planning, and supply chain processes.
• A practical and hands-on approach, with the flexibility to move between strategic initiatives and operational priorities when business needs require it.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills, combined with a team-oriented mindset and a willingness to support colleagues across functions.
