Job summary

BEUMER Group A/S is seeking a Software Test Manager to bridge theory and practice in our software department. You will coach product teams and the System Test function, with a focus on automation and continuous improvement.

You will collaborate with a skilled test team in Poland and contribute to planning System Test releases while maintaining hands-on testing when needed. Fluent Danish and English are expected, and the role offers growth in AI-enabled testing practices.

Qualifications

• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Automation Engineering, or related field.
• ISTQB Test Manager certification is preferred.
• Solid knowledge of software testing methodologies and quality management with risk-based approach.
• Experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement the software testing strategy and define acceptance criteria.
• Provide test architecture input during early requirements clarifications.

Based on recognized testing principles, we have established a solid test process framework and are now fully engaged in implementing it across the organization. Therefore, we are looking for a Software Test Manager who can bridge the gap between theory and practice.

You will be a key player in ensuring that our processes are translated into concrete practices and implemented with a strong focus on delivering real value to both product teams and the System Test function for which we are responsible. In this role, you will act as a coach in our products' transformation journey while actively contributing to the establishment, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our System Test suite, with a particular focus on automation.

We expect you to be hands‑on and capable of stepping into the role of Test Manager within our software department, supporting teams in testing practices and demonstrating how effective testing contributes to the quality of our software products.

As we continue to gain experience, there will be an ongoing need to innovate and optimize our test process framework, including the adoption and use of AI. In other words, you will have ample opportunities to leverage your experience and expertise.

Your New Team

You will become part of a Software Test team that supports software product and project teams in testing practices and ensures that testing activities contribute to the quality of our software products and projects. Our team collaborates with a wide range of stakeholders across the organization.

How You Will Spend Your Time

As a Software Test Manager, you will primarily work with product development. For new system features, you will gradually take on a Test Architect role by participating in the early clarification and requirements phases.

For these features, you will also serve as the liaison to our highly skilled test team in Poland, which specializes in test automation.

Together with our other Test Manager, you will play a key role in planning and following up on the testing of our regular System Releases. You will also participate, to a limited extent, in manual exploratory testing and engage in discussions with development teams regarding identified defects.

More Specifically, Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Implementing the software testing strategy and define strong acceptance criteria.
• Participating in the early requirements clarification phase for new system features and providing test architecture expertise.
• Establishing software test management plans and follow-up activities for System Test initiatives.
• Planning, coordinating, and following up on software System Test activities.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of our System Test suite and processes.
• Establishing direction and driving the optimization and maturity of our testing processes.
• Strengthening and advancing the software testing discipline within the organization.

What We Expect From You

We expect you to have a background as an experienced Test Manager with strong personal impact and excellent communication skills. We also expect that you:

• Hold a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
• Have an ISTQB Test Manager certification.
• Possess solid knowledge of software testing methodologies and quality management principles, applying a risk-based approach.
• Have experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems.
• Demonstrate strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Thrive in a project-driven and technically complex environment.
• Take a structured, analytical, and proactive approach to your work.
• Are fluent in both Danish and English.
