Mastercard is seeking a Software Engineer II to join our Open Finance Platform Engineering team in Copenhagen. You will be instrumental in delivering cloud-native tooling and frameworks that enable scalable SDLC processes and a high-quality developer experience.

Qualifications

Strong fundamentals in software architecture and design.
Experience with DevOps practices, automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and containerization.
Proficiency in modern programming languages used in backend/frontend systems.
Understanding of secure coding practices and software testing.

Responsibilities

Estimate and deliver on tasks across design, development, testing, deployment, and documentation.
Automate build, deploy, and run phases of software systems.
Participate in trade-off discussions on design and implementation within the team.
Contribute to end-to-end understanding of application architecture and dependencies.
Collaborate with Product Owners and cross-functional teams to align on requirements and deliverables.
Support and improve operational metrics and developer experience.
