Job summary

SimCorp is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Platform Automation team in Copenhagen. You will design, build, and optimize the end-to-end delivery pipeline for core products, collaborating with colleagues across locations.

You will mentor juniors, uphold code quality, and drive automated testing and CI/CD practices. The role emphasizes modern C# development, IaC, and agile collaboration in a globally distributed team.

Qualifications

• Experience with one or more modern programming languages (C# preferred).
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with build automation tools and practices.
• Knowledge of common design patterns and software architecture.
• Experience with unit/integration testing and TDD.
• Strong IaC understanding and practice.
• Proficiency with Git and branching strategies.
• TeamCity or similar CI/CD tooling experience.
• Azure services experience across compute, storage, networking, and databases.
• PowerShell scripting for automation.
• Cake (C# Make) for build automation.
• Kotlin for backend service development.
• Ability to guide junior developers and provide technical input.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.
• Experience in agile development environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and enhance applications and pipelines for reliability and capability.
• Collaborate with Engineering Manager, Product Owner, and Architect to translate vision into technical requirements.
• Mentor junior/mid-level colleagues to raise the technical bar.
• Contribute across all development lifecycle stages including reviews and automated testing.
• Maintain code quality and best practices; explore new tools and frameworks.
• Research future technologies to drive innovation and improvements.
• Stay informed on industry trends and apply learnings to the team's practices.
