Site Foreman / Site Manager

About the Role
Our client is a leading specialist in the delivery of large-scale mission-critical infrastructure projects across Europe. Due to continued growth and the award of a major hyperscale data centre development in Copenhagen, Denmark, they are seeking experienced Site Foremen and Site Managers to join the site leadership team.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of a landmark mission-critical project, overseeing day-to-day construction activities and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, subcontractors, and client representatives, you will be responsible for coordinating site operations while maintaining programme, quality, and safety objectives.
Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will be instrumental in driving productivity, managing subcontractors, and ensuring the successful execution of works across multiple construction phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise daily site operations across designated work areas.
- Coordinate subcontractors, direct labour, and suppliers to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with company procedures, project specifications, and client requirements.
- Promote and maintain the highest standards of Environmental, Health & Safety across the site.
- Deliver daily briefings, toolbox talks, and site coordination meetings.
- Monitor progress against programme and proactively identify potential delays or issues.
- Work closely with project planning teams to ensure sequencing and work fronts are effectively managed.
- Coordinate with engineering, quality, commercial, and commissioning teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Review drawings, specifications, and work packages to ensure works are carried out correctly.
- Monitor workmanship and ensure quality standards are consistently achieved.
- Manage site logistics, material deliveries, plant utilisation, and labour resources.
- Support inspection and testing activities and ensure timely close-out of defects and snagging items.
- Maintain accurate site records, progress reports, and daily diaries.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Drive a positive, collaborative culture focused on safety, quality, and programme delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Foreman, Site Manager, General Foreman, or Construction Supervisor within major construction projects.
- 5+ years' experience managing site activities for a main contractor.
- Previous experience delivering data centre, pharmaceutical, industrial, semiconductor, or large-scale commercial construction projects is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and site logistics.
- Demonstrated experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades simultaneously.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong understanding of quality management and inspection processes.
- Commitment to maintaining exceptional Environmental, Health & Safety standards.
- Ability to work within a fast-paced, programme-driven construction environment.
- Relevant trade qualification or construction management background is advantageous.
- SMSTS, SSSTS, or equivalent site management qualifications are beneficial.
