Job summary

FLC Tunnel Group North I/S is seeking a Site Engineer to support the Marine team in the land-based facilities at Rødbyhavn. You will prepare and adjust work method statements, coordinate with multiple departments, and assist commissioning and TE Systems execution teams with planning and documentation.

The role focuses on installation procedures, scheduling optimization, and ensuring safe operations, with engagement across supervisors, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Participate in structural meetings and maintain clear communications.
  • Support commissioning engineers and TE Systems execution teams with planning and documentation.
  • Ensure a safe working environment via toolbox meetings and safety walks.
  • Document activities in FLC tools and verify contract requirements.

About FLC:

At Femern Link Contractors (FLC), we are responsible for designing and constructing the immersed tunnel, portals and ramps on both ends of the tunnel, in Rødbyhavn and Puttgarden.

We are also building the facilities for prefabricating tunnel elements as well as accommodation facilities, also known as the “Tunnel village” in Rødbyhavn, which provides housing for FLC workers.

About the department:

The TE systems are part of the scope of the Marine team as temporary measures to facilitate the immersion of the elements. In total, 79 standard elements will connect the Femern Belt Tunnel to both Germany and Denmark. To be able to float up, transport and immerse the Tunnel Elements, the elements require temporary installations. These installations ensure that the elements float, stay balanced, immerse and can connect to the preceding element. A team of mechanics and electricians will install and test these installations. At the same time, an outfitting team from another department is outfitting the element with more permanent additions. It is up to the Site engineer to assist the production team and to document and verify the activities that are executed. There will be interface with several Supervisors, work preparation of the outfitting and subcontractors.

Main tasks and responsibilities:
  • Prepare work method statements (WMS) and work procedures (WPR).
  • Adjust the WMS and WPR where needed to optimize the procedure of installation.
  • Ensures that schedules and planning are optimized in coordination with all departments, both within and outside FLC.
  • Takes an active part in the structural meetings.
  • Ensures clear communication, including minutes of meeting, to all parties involved.
  • Is supportive of Commissioning Engineers and TE Systems execution teams by providing planning, documentation and the necessary equipment.
  • Ensures a safe working environment through toolbox meetings, pre-start meetings, safety walks and by addressing issues directly.
  • Document executed activities in the tools provided by FLC.
  • Verify and validate contract requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Has experience working with drawing applications.
  • Has experience working with Office 360.
  • Has good organizational skills.
  • Enjoys coordinating with multiple parties involved.
  • Is willing to work in shifts and at irregular hours.
  • Has a background as mechanical or electrical engineer.
