Job summary

Scan Con Construction ApS is seeking ship hull fitters for positions at Danish shipyards. You will assemble hull sections, align and secure components, and perform cutting, shaping, and welding tasks in the shipyard environment.

Applicants should communicate in English, follow instructions carefully, and maintain a strong safety focus. We offer a full-time Danish contract with accommodation, transport, and health insurance as part of the package.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install ship hull sections according to blueprints and specifications.
• Align and secure structural parts to ensure a proper fit.
• Cut, shape, and prepare metal components for assembly.
• Perform welding, bolting, and riveting tasks as required.
• Locates and marks reference lines; centers, buttock, and frame lines.
• Position parts in hull of a ship with assistance from riggers.
• Align parts using jacks, lever blocks, chain blocks, clips and wedges.
• Tack and weld clips and brackets before permanent welding.

We are looking for:

• Ship Hull Fitters // Ship Plate Fitters //Platers

for marine industry in Denmark

Scan Con offers jobs at the Shipyards on Reparation and New Build Departments.

Key tasks

• Assemble and install ship hull sections according to blueprints and specifications

• Align and secure structural parts to ensure a proper fit

• Cut, shape, and prepare metal components for assembly

• Perform welding, bolting, and riveting tasks as required

• Locates and marks reference lines; such as center, buttock, and frame lines

• Positions parts in hull of a Ship, assisted by rigger

• Aligns parts relation to each other using jacks, lever blocks, chain blocks, clips, wedges, etc.

• Marks location of holes to be drilled and installs temporary fasteners to hold parts in a place for welding or revising

• Install packing, gasket, liner, and structural accessories and members such as doors, hatches, brackets, and clips

• Tack and weld clips and brackets in place prior to permanent welding

• May prepare molds and templates for fabrication of non-standard parts

• May roll, bend flange, cut and shape plates, beams, and other heavy metal parts using shop machinery; such as plate roll, presses, bending brakes, and joggle machine

• Performs other duties as required

Experience

• Experience is good to have but that's not necessary
