Job summary

University of Copenhagen's Section of Microbiology, Department of Biology, seeks a Sequencing Platform and Service Manager to coordinate sequencing operations and laboratory workflows, combining service management, method development, data management, and stakeholder coordination.

You will work with researchers and providers on 16S sequencing, PacBio workflows, data storage, and protocol guidance, bringing a strong background in molecular biology and IT/data management to ensure high quality

Qualifications

Master’s degree or equivalent in microbiology, molecular biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, or a related field.

Responsibilities

Coordinate sequencing service contracts and follow up on service delivery.
Serve as main contact for sequencing platform providers and coordinate technical matters.
Develop and implement analytical protocols, including workflows for 16S sequencing and PacBio analysis.
Oversee sequencing data storage, organization and accessibility.
Manage data cleaning and preparation within the sequencing and analysis workflow.
Act as direct contact for external customers and collaborators, coordinating requests and timelines.
Update and provide guidance on laboratory and sequencing protocols for consistency and quality.
Provide technical advice on DNA-related techniques and troubleshooting.
