Job summary

COWI A/S in Lyngby is seeking a fire safety and systems specialist to strengthen our Tunnel and Underground Infrastructure MEP & Fire Safety team. You will contribute to fire strategy design for tunnels and underground facilities and collaborate with global experts on Danish and international projects.

We value a master’s degree in fire engineering and 7+ years’ experience, including evacuation modelling, and the ability to manage design from concept to detailed design.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in fire engineering or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in fire engineering for tunnels and metro projects.
• Experience producing fire safety strategy documents.
• Knowledge of evacuation and smoke modelling.
• Ability to manage design from concept to detailed design.
• Interest in and knowledge of new technologies within fire engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop fire strategy reports for tunnels and underground infrastructure.
• Develop fire systems design from concept through detailed design.
• Write technical reports and specifications.
• Review design work from other specialists.
• Ensure compliance with local and international standards.
• Promote innovative and sustainable fire engineering practices.
• Encourage and contribute to innovative and sustainable thinking in fire engineering design.
