Job summary

Arup in Copenhagen seeks an experienced Fire Protection/Systems Engineer to lead the design of fire protection systems across diverse projects, from concept through handover, ensuring safety and code compliance.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior engineers, review designs, and contribute to business development while delivering on time and within budget. Fluency in Danish is an advantage; a Master’s degree and 5+ years consultancy experience are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in mechanical/public health engineering or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a consultancy or similar environment.
• Experience leading your discipline on complex projects.
• Fluency in Danish or other Scandinavian language is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Take a lead design role for fire protection systems on projects.
• Deliver fire protection system design from concept to issue, including hydraulics.
• Coordinate with architects and other design engineers to integrate systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews.
• Support business development and bid preparation.
