Job summary

Topsoe is seeking a Senior Strategy Manager to shape strategic direction and translate market intelligence into clear guidance for senior leadership. You will lead high-impact analyses and serve as trusted advisor to the Senior Leadership Team within Corporate Strategy.

You will drive market and competitive intelligence, support business planning, and collaborate across functions to translate external developments into actionable insights, decisions, and actions for the business.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in strategy, management consulting, business development, or a similar role.
• Ability to translate market intelligence into strategic actions and recommendations.
• Experience advising senior leaders and guiding strategic decisions.
• MBA preferred or equivalent strategic leadership education.

Responsibilities

• Act as a strategic advisor to the Senior Leadership Team.
• Driving strategic analyses that combine customer, competitor, regulatory, and market developments into implications for Topsoe’s strategic direction, competitive positioning, and business performance.
• Conducting market and competitor intelligence and translating data into actionable insights and recommendations for the Senior Leadership Team, Board discussions, Monthly Business Reviews, and Mission Build.
• Supporting the business planning process by providing an outside-in perspective and constructively challenging assumptions, ambitions, and competitive positioning.
• Providing ad hoc support to senior leaders, including preparation for key meetings, partnership discussions, and selected external stakeholder interactions.
• Leading strategic workstreams and engaging junior colleagues where relevant.

Role and impact

As Senior Strategy Manager, you will play a central role in shaping Topsoe’s strategic direction and strengthening how we translate market intelligence into clear strategic guidance and decision support. You will lead high-impact strategic analyses and act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders on key strategic priorities. The role is anchored in Corporate Strategy and will be an important part of the integration of Market Intelligence into the function. You will help strengthen and evolve how Topsoe captures, structures, and applies market and competitive insights to support strategy development, business planning, and key leadership discussions.

Your main tasks will include

• Act as a strategic advisor to the Senior Leadership Team

In this role, you will contribute to strengthening Topsoe’s strategic capabilities and ensuring that external developments are translated into clear implications, recommendations, and calls to action for the business.

What you will bring

You are an experienced strategy professional with a strong analytical and strategic toolbox and the ability to turn complexity into clear recommendations and business actions. You are comfortable working in a role with broad exposure across the organization and with senior stakeholders, and you know how to combine strategic insight with a pragmatic and collaborative approach.

You quickly understand market dynamics, competitive developments, and strategic challenges, and you are able to translate an outside‑in perspective into relevant implications for the business. You build trust through clarity, sound judgement, and strong stakeholder management, and you are confident challenging stakeholders constructively when needed.

We expect that you bring:

• +8 years of experience from strategy, management consulting, business development, or a similar role. MBA highly preferred


• A strong analytical and strategic toolbox, including the ability to structure complex issues and develop clear, decision‑ready recommendations


• Experience with market and competitor intelligence and the ability to translate data into strategic implications and calls to action


• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across functions and seniority levels, including senior leadership


• Strong project and change management capabilities and experience driving cross‑functional initiatives


• Strong communication skills across PowerPoint, Excel, written communication, and verbal presentations


• A relevant educational background within business, economics, engineering, or a related field


• The professionalism and confidence to engage with senior leaders and represent Topsoe externally when relevant
