Job summary

Fertin Pharma Group is seeking a Senior Specialist, Packaging to lead development and optimization of non-pharma packaging across product categories. The role balances design and operations, driving innovation, efficiency, and cost improvements. Collaboration with internal teams, suppliers, and customers is essential.

You will shape packaging solutions, support investment projects, and ensure compliance with packaging standards while maintaining a practical, solution-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or other relevant technical discipline.
• +5 years of experience in packaging development, packaging engineering, or packaging technology.
• Strong knowledge of packaging materials, barrier properties, and labeling requirements.
• Experience with packaging equipment and manufacturing processes, preferably within food, ingredients, pharma, or FMCG.
• Experience working with co-packers or external manufacturing partners is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement new packaging solutions in collaboration with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers.
• Act as the packaging expert in development and optimization projects.
• Drive packaging cost reduction initiatives through smarter design and improved processes.
• Participate in CAPEX projects, including FAT, commissioning, qualification, and implementation of new equipment.
• Evaluate, select, and onboard co-packers and packaging suppliers.
• Optimize packaging materials and packing processes to improve efficiency and reduce complexity.
• Ensure compliance, documentation, and adherence to relevant packaging standards.
• Provide technical guidance and challenge stakeholders to ensure the best packaging solutions.

We are looking for an experienced packaging specialist to take ownership of packaging solutions across our product categories and help drive innovation, efficiency, and cost optimization. The product categories that Fertin Pharma works with in Non-pharma are Oral Care, Vitamins, Minerals and Supplements, and Nicotine containing products.

As Senior Specialist, Non-Pharma Packaging, you will join Fertin Pharma's Packaging Engineering team and serve as the subject matter expert within packaging. You will be responsible for developing new packaging solutions, optimizing existing designs and processes, and supporting key investment and transformation projects.

The role is split between packaging development and packaging process optimization, giving you the opportunity to influence both product design and operational performance.

Your key responsibilities

You bring expertise within packaging materials, technologies, and production processes and can translate complex requirements into robust and scalable solutions.

• Fluency in Danish and English.
