Job summary

Fertin Pharma A/S is seeking a Senior Specialist in Non-pharma Packaging to own packaging solutions across product categories, driving innovation and efficiency. You will balance technical requirements with commercial goals, lead packaging development, and optimize packing processes within a cross-functional team.

The role blends design and operational impact, including collaboration with suppliers and customers to reduce costs and improve sustainability.

Qualifications

• A degree in Engineering or another relevant technical discipline.
• +5 years of experience within packaging development, packaging engineering, or packaging technology.
• Strong knowledge of packaging materials, barrier properties, and labeling requirements.
• Experience with packaging equipment and manufacturing processes, preferably within food, ingredients, pharma, or FMCG.
• Experience working with co-packers or external manufacturing partners is an advantage.
• Fluency in Danish and English.
• Strong stakeholder management and project collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement new packaging solutions in collaboration with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers.
• Act as the packaging expert in development and optimization projects.
• Drive packaging cost reduction initiatives through smarter design and improved processes.
• Participate in CAPEX projects, including FAT, commissioning, qualification, and implementation of new equipment.
• Evaluate, select, and onboard co-packers and packaging suppliers.
• Optimize packaging materials and packing processes to improve efficiency and reduce complexity.
• Ensure compliance, documentation, and adherence to relevant packaging standards.
• Provide technical guidance and challenge stakeholders to ensure the best packaging solutions.
