The Senior Software Developer is responsible for developing, testing, maintaining, and enhancing software components used across ECS products, including SCADA, Historian, Optimization, and Quality Management solutions. The role requires strong experience in C#, .NET, SQL Server, and desktop application development. The successful candidate will contribute to high-quality software delivery, support product modernization efforts, and use AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity while maintaining engineering best practices.
This role can be based in several of our locations - Brno (Czech Republic), Copenhagen (Denmark), Chennai (India) or Allentown (USA).
Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and platform components using C# and .NET technologies. Develop reusable and maintainable code aligned with established architecture and coding standards. Participate in technical design discussions and code reviews. Support modernization and enhancement of existing applications. Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues.
Develop and maintain desktop applications using WPF. Develop service-based solutions using WCF and gRPC. Design and optimize SQL Server databases, queries, and stored procedures. Support applications handling operational and historical process data.
Follow software engineering best practices, coding standards, and Secure SDLC processes. Address issues identified through code reviews, quality analysis, and security scanning tools. Contribute to testing activities, including unit testing and defect resolution. Ensure delivered software meets quality, reliability, and maintainability expectations.
Use Azure DevOps/TFS for source control, work item management, and release activities. Support build, deployment, and CI/CD processes. Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar solutions to improve productivity. Use AI tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, documentation, and technical research. Review and validate AI-generated outputs before adoption.

This role can be based in several of our office locations – Brno (Czech Republic), Copenhagen (Denmark), Chennai (India) or Allentown (USA). The salary range will vary to the local market and the selected location. Further details regarding the applicable compensation package will be shared with candidates during the interview process.
