Novicell, a leading digital consulting firm in Denmark, seeks a Senior Frontend Developer for Shopify to build high-quality ecommerce storefronts for Danish and international brands. You will own frontend workstreams, collaborate with backend, architects, PMs, and UX specialists, and shape frontend architecture across projects.

The role focuses on theme-based Shopify frontend development, Liquid, HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript and TypeScript, with hands-on implementation and senior ownership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of frontend development experience for ecommerce platforms.
• Solid experience with Shopify frontend development.
• Proficiency in Liquid, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML and CSS/SCSS.
• Ability to take technical ownership and lead frontend workstreams on projects.
• Ability to translate business and design requirements into clear technical solutions.
• Structured, pragmatic work approach from idea to production and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Designing, building, and maintaining high-quality Shopify storefront solutions.
• Developing and extending Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Taking ownership of frontend workstreams across new and existing client projects.
• Translating design, business, and user requirements into performant frontend solutions.
• Collaborating with backend developers on integrated functionality and frontend architecture.
• Providing technical sparring and contributing to code reviews and frontend standards.
