Job summary

ZeroNorth in Copenhagen is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to own hands-on security for a modern SaaS platform used in maritime tech. Design and enforce security controls across AWS, EKS and IoT, and integrate automated scanning into CI/CD.

You will partner with engineering, Legal and auditors to keep the product secure and compliant. You will also shape security strategy for our AI platform, ensuring trustworthy AI production and handling GDPR/NIS2 compliance.

Qualifications

• Broad hands-on experience in software development, infrastructure, IoT, CI/CD, Kubernetes/EKS, and IaC/Terraform.
• Strong AWS cloud experience.
• Experience or strong interest in AI security.
• Experience in Information Security covering both GRC and hands-on technical implementation.
• Solid understanding of security frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001) and regulations (GDPR, NIS2).
• Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, AWS Security Specialty, or similar).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; comfortable with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to learn on the job in case you don't check all the boxes (who does?).

Responsibilities

• Secure the platform, hands-on: Design, implement, and manage security controls on AWS, EKS, and IoT; integrate automated security scanning into CI/CD pipelines; monitor vulnerabilities and drive incident response.
• Secure our AI platform: Build a framework to ensure AI production is trustworthy and compliant by design.
• Support security strategy and policy: Interpret GDPR, NIS2, and other regulations to inform controls.
• Treat compliance as an engineering problem: Automate evidence collection for SOC 2, NIS2, GDPR via GRC (Vanta) and coordinate audits.
