Job summary

NACOS Marine is seeking a Senior Security Architect to own cybersecurity architecture across our product portfolio. You will define security posture, roadmaps, and serve as the go-to authority on product security across international teams.

You will translate OT and regulatory requirements into actionable guidance for engineers, product owners, and stakeholders, shaping security across design, development, and post-sale support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Senior-level security architecture experience in OT/industrial environments.
• Understanding of IEC 62443-3-3, IEC 61162-460, IACS E22/E26/E27; IT standards like IEC 27001/NIST is a plus.
• Hands-on with SIEM, EDR, firewalls, IDS, ML-based detection systems.
• Strong IT/OT network, OS, PLC, and database knowledge; cloud/hybrid experience.

Role Overview

We are seeking a technically strong and forward-thinking Senior Security Architect (m/f/d) to take ownership of cybersecurity architecture across NACOS Marine's current and next-generation product portfolio. In this role, you will define and safeguard our security posture, develop long-term security roadmaps, and serve as the go-to authority on product security across all our international development teams.

You will work at the intersection of OT security, product development, and regulatory compliance, translating complex standards and class-society requirements into actionable guidance for our engineers, product owners, and stakeholders. Your work will directly shape how security is embedded across the entire product lifecycle, ensuring our solutions consistently meet the highest standards our customers and the maritime industry demand.

Key Responsibilities

Product Security Architecture

• Define and maintain the product security architecture for OT systems across the maritime product portfolio
• Develop and sustain long-term security capability roadmaps aligned with product strategy and evolving threat landscapes
• Champion a best-in-class security approach and drive adoption of modern security technologies and practices across the organization

Standards & Compliance

• Interpret and translate relevant security standards and class-society rules and regulations — including IEC 62443-3-3, IEC 61162-460, and IACS E22, E26, E27 — into clear, actionable requirements for development teams
• Work with testing and compliance offices to oversee product performance and drive continuous security improvements
• Ensure security requirements are addressed throughout the full product lifecycle, from design through post-sale support

Product Evaluation & Integration

• Evaluate new COTS products for potential integration or adoption into the NACOS Marine product portfolio
• Assess and advise on security tooling including SIEM, AV, EDR, firewall, IDS, and ML-based detection systems

Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as the primary security authority for all product lines, guiding development teams, product owners, and senior stakeholders through cybersecurity requirements
• Support product lines pre- and post-sale with customer-related security inquiries, translating technical topics clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Collaborate across functions including engineering, compliance, and sales to embed security best practices throughout the organization

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
• Senior-level experience in security architecture within OT and industrial automation environments, such as maritime, energy, transportation, or production
• Solid understanding of OT security standards including IEC 62443-3-3, IEC 61162-460, and IACS E22, E26, and E27; familiarity with IT-related standards such as IEC 27001 and NIST is a strong advantage
• Hands-on experience with a broad range of security products including SIEM, AV, EDR, firewalls, IDS, and ML-based detection systems
• Strong understanding of IT/OT networks, operating systems, PLCs, and database technologies
• Experience with cloud or hybrid integrations and modern deployment models
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured, top-down approach to security architecture
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to convey complex technical topics to both specialist and non-specialist audiences
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken; additional languages are considered an advantage
