Job summary

Flying Tiger Copenhagen in Copenhagen HQ seeks a Senior Business Analyst to translate complex data into actionable sales performance insights, refining store and range planning strategies across our owned network.

You will benchmark competitors, analyze department performance, and develop methods to maximize returns while mentoring a junior analyst and collaborating with the Trade team.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of data-centric analytical experience, preferably within retail or pricing.
• Strong SQL skills to independently extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets.
• High level of Excel proficiency; knowledge of Cubes or similar analytical tools is a strong plus.
• Proficiency in Python to automate workflows, manipulate data, and build scalable analytical solutions.
• Experience with PowerBI or a comparable BI/dashboard tool to build and maintain dashboards.
• Master’s degree in economics, statistics, mathematics, finance, or related field.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management across functions.

Responsibilities

• Retail optimization: analyze store and category allocation using data-driven insights.
• Store database management: maintain store fixture process and dashboards.
• Performance measurement & reporting: assess layout changes impact on sales, density, and stock weight.
• Stakeholder management: align priorities with merchandise and other teams.
• Promotional analysis: develop reporting with competitor trends and product performance insights.
• Process improvement & documentation: standardize best practices across store planning operations.
• People management: mentor and develop junior analyst.
