Job summary

SDU eScience Center in Odense invites applications for a Senior Team Leader to guide the Research Support team. You will combine scientific insight with leadership to help researchers across Denmark leverage computing, cloud, AI, and data services to accelerate discovery.

The role offers strategic influence on national digital infrastructure and day-to-day support, with an emphasis on collaboration across disciplines and engaging with researchers, technical specialists, and external customers.

Qualifications

• Master's degree (or higher) in computer science, engineering, natural sciences, data science, or a related field.
• Demonstrated leadership experience leading teams or projects.
• Strong understanding of computational research, AI, and digital infrastructure.
• Excellent stakeholder management and bilingual Danish/English communication.
• Ability to translate research and customer needs into practical services.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Research Support team as part of the eScience center management.
• Ensure high-quality support and consultancy for researchers and external customers.
• Build relationships with researchers, departments, external customers, and national research infrastructures.
• Identify emerging needs and contribute to new services and tools.
• Collaborate with technical teams to align infrastructure with user requirements.
