Job summary

The eScience Center at University of Southern Denmark (SDU) is expanding its cloud team in Odense to advance research cloud services. Candidates will design and develop high‑performance distributed systems, integrate with Slurm and Kubernetes, and participate in end‑to‑end development and production monitoring.

A strong Linux background and two‑area expertise are required. Remote work is considered for some roles, with on‑site presence in Odense preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in at least two areas listed in the job description.
• Strong Linux background.
• Programming skills in Go, C, C++, bash, …
• Ability to work independently and in interdisciplinary teams with researchers and scientists.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance distributed systems and services.
• Integrate with HPC schedulers (Slurm) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Participate in the full feature lifecycle: requirements, design, coding, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with the cloud team to expand cloud infrastructure and research capabilities.
