Job summary

Hitachi Rail Denmark A/S seeks a Configuration & Defect Manager to maintain baselines, defect logs, and release traceability across hardware, software and test assets. You will coordinate with Engineering, IVVQ/T&C, suppliers and Document Control to ensure controlled changes and evidence-based closure.

The role emphasizes strong escalation judgement, risk awareness, and adherence to Hitachi’s standards, with a hybrid work arrangement and a team of skilled professionals.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in configuration management, defect tools and release control.
• Experience in systems integration, rail, software, IT/OT or safety‑related projects.
• Strong knowledge of version control, release management, asset configuration and defect analytics.

Responsibilities

• Define configuration and defect management processes, baselines, and reporting cadence.
• Maintain records for hardware, software, firmware, drawings, and installed assets.
• Run defect triage, ownership, root‑cause tracking, and retest evidence.
• Coordinate releases and configuration changes with Engineering and other teams.
• Report open defects, baseline status, and acceptance‑impacting issues.
• Ensure compliance with Hitachi Code of Conduct and data protection rules.
• Own configuration status accounting and defect workflow discipline.
• Block uncontrolled releases or baseline deviations as needed.
