Job summary

Terma A/S in Lystrup, Denmark, seeks an experienced Project Manager for R&D to lead projects from concept to handover, ensuring cross-functional collaboration with product development, software and hardware teams. You will drive planning, risk management, and stakeholder communications in a dynamic, high-tech environment.

The role emphasizes leadership, structured project governance, and a commitment to delivering secure, high-value surveillance and defense-related solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Administration or similar with experience from technical R&D environments.
• +5 years experience as project manager within technical product development or as technical/product lead for new products or innovation projects.
• Project management training and certification; PMP or IPMA/Prince2 or Agile methods preferred.
• Experience leading onsite, offsite (online) or hybrid teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and collaboration tools.
• Knowledge of stage/gate or agile project models and change management (e.g. ADKAR).
• Fluent in English; Danish is an advantage but not required.

Responsibilities

• Drive project initiation, planning and execution with proactive risk management.
• Lead multi-disciplinary project teams and manage dependencies across workstreams.
• Improve ways of working and contribute to project management best practices.
• Engage stakeholders to maintain transparency on progress, risks, and changes.
• Allocate resources and oversee finances and reporting.
• Represent the R&D project in customer meetings when needed.
