Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Administration or similar with experience from technical R&D environments.
  • +5 years experience as project manager within technical product development or as technical/product lead for new products or innovation projects.
  • Project management training and certification; PMP or IPMA/Prince2 or Agile methods preferred.
  • Experience leading onsite, offsite (online) or hybrid teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and collaboration tools.
  • Knowledge of stage/gate or agile project models and change management (e.g. ADKAR).
  • Fluent in English; Danish is an advantage but not required.

Your role in our team

As our new Project Manager in R&D in Lystrup, you will lead projects through our integrated product development process, from early concept phase to final handover to the customer, production and service.

You will be part of the Projects & Solutions Department, where you in your projects are working closely with a dedicated Project Core Team ensuring all R&D development disciplines are managed professionally.

Focus for the role is on security and surveillance solutions, covering project-deliveries and design across systems engineering, software and AI development, as well as IT-network, cyber security and hardware integration. Your project(s) are part of a larger program of interrelated projects; therefore, you will join a team of Project Managers and Lead System Engineers, working closely together to deliver the program objectives.

How you will make a meaningful contribution

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Drive project initiation, planning and execution, incl. proactive risk management and being persistent throughout the project life cycle
  • Leading multi disciplinary project team(s), map critical dependencies across workstreams, and make the team delivering the project objectives together
  • Leading projects with a mindset to continuously improve the way we work, and contribute to best practice in the Terma Project Management community
  • Engage with key project and management stakeholders to maintain high transparency on progress, risks, changes, expected outcomes and benefits
  • Allocate project resources effectively and oversee project finances and reporting
  • When needed, participate in customer meetings, representing the R&D project

You are a Project Management professional and leader, who enjoys managing the high uncertainty and complexity within development projects. You strive to exceed customers and stakeholder expectations when delivering together with your team. Moreover, we are looking for a new colleague who ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree within Engineering, Administration or similar combined with experience from technical R&D environments
  • +5 years experience as project manager within technical product development, or as a technical/product lead for new products or innovation projects
  • Project management training and certification. PMP is preferred or equivalent, e.g. IPMA, Prince2 or Agile method(s)
  • Experience leading teams being onsite, offsite (online) - or a mix of both
  • Proficient in all main apps and tools in the Microsoft 365 Office suite
  • Knowledge about stage/gate or agile project models, change management (e.g. ADKAR), as well as IT-tools like MS Project and JIRA, is an advantage
  • You are fluent in English both in writing and verbal at a professional level. Danish is an advantage but not a requirement
