Job summary

Ambu is seeking an Experienced R&D Engineer to join the Mechanical Engineering team at our Innovation Site in Ballerup, Denmark. You will lead mechanical design activities across the full development cycle, partnering with engineers worldwide to drive product innovation and robust, safe medical devices.

You should thrive on taking charge, collaborating with teammates, and applying your CAD expertise to high‑volume manufacturing contexts.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed a technical or scientific course of study in mechanical or medical engineering.
• Strong CAD skills and experience with relevant software tools.
• Experience designing for high-volume production and safety-critical medical devices is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Identify user needs and specifications through early project phases with key opinion leaders and doctors.
• Influence significant development projects and develop mechanical designs for components and assemblies.
• Ensure manufacturability in high volume and maintain cost targets while meeting regulatory documentation requirements.
• Translate concepts into working prototypes and support feasibility testing and process evaluation.
