Job summary

DesignBuild Search is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for its Denmark office in Ølgod. You will manage all contractual and financial aspects of construction projects, including cost estimation, budgets, risk assessments, and contract administration.

You will liaise with clients, contractors and suppliers, oversee tendering and valuations, and ensure timely payments while maintaining high standards. Strong ACCR edit and COINS experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Professional accreditation (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Proficient in cost control software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Background in industry-specific software such as COINS.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments.
• Perform cost analysis for project work.
• Assist in tendering processes, including preparation of tender documents and evaluation of bids.
• Monitor project costs and provide regular financial reports.
• Prepare interim and final valuations, payment applications, and variations.
• Administer contracts and ensure compliance with legal and quality standards.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Manage change control processes and assess the financial impact of changes.
• Advise on procurement strategies and dispute resolution.
• Compiling CVR requirements at the end of each month.
• Collaborate closely with the Project Directors and Site Managers to support successful project execution and cost control.
• Executes the preparation of subcontractor contracts and ensures timely completion of collateral warranties in line with project and legal requirements.
• Responsible for preparing and submitting valuations and issuing payment certificates to ensure accurate and timely payments to subcontractors and suppliers.
