Job summary

Ellab A/S in Denmark seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a SIP work package in a major pharmaceutical investment project in Hillerød. You will coordinate with Ellab specialists, customer project management and other stakeholders to drive the work package forward.

You will manage planning, execution through qualification and handover, bridging technical and organisational boundaries, and ensuring decisions are prepared at the right level while maintaining momentum.

Qualifications

• Engineering or technical degree relevant to pharmaceutical projects.
• Solid GMP and CQV/validation experience in pharma or life-science.
• Experience leading a significant work package with multiple interfaces.
• Strong planning, risk, dependency management and resource coordination.
• Customer-facing role and supplier/consultancy representation.
• Fluent Danish and professional English.
• Willingness to work primarily at the customer site in Hillerød.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to take over and lead an ongoing SIP work package in a major pharmaceutical investment project in Hillerød. You will join an established project organisation and coordinate closely with Ellab specialists, customer project management and other key stakeholders to drive the work package forward.

The role

As Senior Project Manager, you will lead complex customer projects and work packages from planning and execution through qualification and handover.

You will work across organisational and technical boundaries, bringing together Ellab Project Managers, CQV specialists, technical experts, customer project and program management and other project interfaces. At times you will combine your overall project manager skills with hands-on execution together with the team Your responsibility is to create structure, align stakeholders, maintain momentum and make sure the right decisions are prepared and taken at the right level.

Your key responsibilities

• Take over the ongoing SIP work package in Hillerød and ensure continuity through a structured handover.
• Maintain a clear overview of scope, deliverables, milestones, resources, dependencies, risks, changes and key decisions.
• Coordinate activities across Ellab specialists, customer stakeholders and other project interfaces.
• Translate overall project requirements into clear priorities, ownership and actionable plans.
• Drive progress through active follow-up, regular site presence and close dialogue with the project team.
• Replan and reprioritize when resources, access, interfaces or project conditions change.
• Identify risks and issues early, drive resolution and escalate when necessary.
• Represent Ellab in relevant customer and project forums and ensure delivery complies with GMP, agreed quality systems and customer standards.

Your assignment - Hillerød

Ellab is responsible for a project covering cleaning and sterilization activities related to equipment entering a new pharmaceutical facility. The Ellab team in Hillerød consists of approximately ten people and the project is already well underway.

Your initial focus will be to understand the existing scope, schedule, interfaces, resources, open decisions and risks; build strong relationships with the team and customer organisation. In this fast-paced project we expect you to quickly utilize your project manager experience and take full ownership of the project plan, the coordination, prioritisation, replanning, decision preparation and escalation.

Most importantly, you lead through collaboration - listening to specialists, challenging constructively and creating a structure that allows different stakeholders to work effectively toward the same project objectives.

What we are looking for

• A relevant engineering or technical degree.
• Solid experience with GMP and CQV/validation in the pharmaceutical industry or another regulated life-science environment.
• Experience leading a significant work package, sub-project or complex project involving multiple specialists and interfaces.
• Strong project management capabilities, including planning, risk and dependency management, resource coordination and decision-making.
• Confidence in customer-facing roles and in representing a supplier, consultancy or engineering organisation.
• Fluent Danish and professional English, written and spoken.
• Willingness to work primarily at the customer site in Hillerød during project execution.

SIP experience will be a strong advantage

Because the first assignment is directly connected to a SIP work package, previous experience with SIP / Steam-In-Place - or strong technical knowledge of SIP systems and processes - will be a significant advantage. You do not need to be the team’s primary SIP technical specialist, but you should be able to understand the technical context, ask the right questions and coordinate specialists, decisions and dependencies effectively.
