Job description

Job-Link A/S

Project Engineer – Automation & Automated Logistics

Do you have experience with automation and enjoy coordinating technical activities where things actually happen – on site?

On behalf of one of our clients, Job-Link is looking for an experienced Project Engineer for a long-term assignment in Western Zealand, Denmark.

You will join a specialised automation team supporting automation across several large-scale pharmaceutical projects. The current focus is on projects in the commissioning phase, where you will play an important role in coordinating site activities, suppliers and multiple stakeholders.

Automation that keeps production moving

The solutions you will work with cover automated movement and handling of materials throughout pharmaceutical production.

This may include:

  • AGVs and mobile robots transporting materials between production areas

  • Automated forklift and logistics solutions

  • Automated washing and cleaning equipment

  • Robotics and other automated material-handling systems

  • Integration of automated equipment with surrounding production and control systems

Your role is not primarily about programming. Instead, you will be the technical link between the project, suppliers and activities on site, making sure installation, testing and commissioning move forward as planned.

Your role

You will be responsible for coordinating automation-related activities on site and working closely with equipment suppliers, project teams and other engineering disciplines.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating installation, commissioning and testing activities on site

  • Managing and following up with equipment suppliers and subcontractors

  • Coordinating testing of automated equipment, including FAT and SAT

  • Supporting commissioning, qualification and final handover

  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues together with suppliers and relevant specialists

  • Coordinating across multiple stakeholders within the automation team and across the site organisation

  • Supporting technical documentation and operator training

  • Supporting integration with systems such as SAP EWM, PAS-X, fleet management systems, DCS and PLC solutions

Your background

You have an engineering degree or relevant technical background within automation, electrical or mechanical engineering and at least 3 years of relevant experience.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Experience with automation and automated equipment

  • Hands‑on experience from a production or project site

  • Experience coordinating suppliers, subcontractors or technical activities

  • Experience with installation, commissioning, testing and troubleshooting

  • Experience from pharmaceutical production and working in a GMP‑regulated environment

  • A good understanding of automation, electrical and mechanical systems

  • Fluent written and spoken English

You do not need to be a programmer or PLC specialist.

Danish is not a requirement.

The person we are looking for

You are comfortable being the person who connects the dots.

With several suppliers, engineering disciplines and project stakeholders involved, you need to be structured, proactive and good at keeping activities moving forward.

You enjoy being on site, close to the equipment and the people working with it, and you combine technical understanding with strong coordination and communication skills.

Location: Western Zealand, Denmark

Duration: Until the end of April 2027

Experience: Minimum 3 years

Work setup: Primarily on‑site, five days a week

Interested?

If you have a background in automation and site execution and enjoy coordinating suppliers and technical activities in complex pharmaceutical projects, we would like to hear from you.
