Job summary

DNV is seeking an Expert Process Safety Engineer to lead complex process safety assignments across energy sectors, including Oil & Gas, Hydrogen, CCUS and Refineries. You will act as a technical authority, deliver high-quality risk assessments, and mentor colleagues to advance safety excellence.

In this role you will review design documents, run HAZOP/HAZID/LOPA studies, support EU directives compliance, develop safety cases, and engage clients as a trusted advisor.

Qualifications

• MSc degree in Process Engineering or related field.
• Significant experience leading process safety studies and projects.
• Familiarity with EU directives and international safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex process safety projects across energy sectors (Oil & Gas, Hydrogen, CCUS).
• Review key design documents for compliance with codes and standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to methodology development.
• Engage clients as a trusted advisor and support business development.
