Job description

Build the digital backbone that powers our Investment, Risk, Valuation and Finance teams

At Impact Fund Denmark, you join a mission-driven organisation with a clear purpose — to finance projects that bring sustainable development to life, from forestry in Paraguay to solar energy in Brazil and diagnostics in Bangladesh.

Here is what you get with us:

A hands‑on, technically deep role at the centre of our internal Investment Management application, spanning both Power Platform and custom web application development

Close collaboration with our Business Application Manager and external development resources, as part of a small, focused core development team

The opportunity to shape a platform still early in its journey — with a clear roadmap and real influence over how it evolves, including its growing web application layer

Global impact, strong IT culture and meaningful teamwork

Impact Fund Denmark is Denmark's development finance institution, investing in sustainable solutions that create measurable impact in developing countries. While headquartered in Copenhagen, our work extends across more than 45 countries, supported by six regional offices, uniting 24 nationalities under one purpose.

You will be part of the Technology & Operations team, which is currently expanding, including specialists in processes, architecture, data, and IT Security. Here, you will join experienced and collaborative professionals who are eager to share knowledge and support each other across disciplines.

The team

A place where great ideas can come from anyone

Joining us means becoming part of a warm, ambitious, and genuinely collaborative Technology & Operations Team. We are a group that thrives on shared purpose, celebrates each other's wins, and is not afraid to roll up our sleeves when things get complex. Our work spans a broad range of initiatives that shape the organisation's digital backbone — but what truly defines us is how we do it: together.

On this application specifically, you will work day-to-day alongside our Business Application Manager, who coordinates prioritisation and the release process, and a small pool of external developers who provide specialist and overflow capacity. Together, you form the core development team — working closely with Product Owners, Super Users, and functional subject-matter experts from Investment, Risk, Valuation and Finance to keep the backlog moving and the platform improving.

You will be surrounded by talented colleagues who bring curiosity, professionalism, and a healthy sense of humour to the table. As we continue to grow and evolve, we are building a culture where learning is continuous and where you will have the space to influence how we work.

You develop and evolve our internal investment management application

We are looking for a Power Apps & Web Application Developer to take day‑to‑day technical ownership of the application's codebase and configuration and be the technical lead for the application and its growth over the coming years. You will work closely with our Business Application Manager and external developer resources as the core development team, turning a continuously prioritised backlog into reliable, well‑built functionality for the business — spanning both the Power Platform and our custom web application components. You will take the lead on deciding when a requirement is best solved with low‑code Power Apps versus custom web development, in dialogue with the Business Application Manager.

You will, for example:

Platform development: design, build, and maintain Power Apps (model‑driven and canvas) and Dataverse solution components — tables, relationships, business rules, and automation — that underpin the application

Dynamics 365 configuration: configure and extend Dynamics 365 platform capabilities used within the application, strictly limited to functionality that does not require a Dynamics 365 Sales licence

Process automation: build Power Automate flows that automate approvals, notifications, and data flows between the application, our ERP, and other enterprise systems

Backlog delivery: work from the prioritised Kanban backlog together with the Business Application Manager, who owns the board and coordinates prioritisation and release

Requirements translation: engage directly with super users and functional SMEs across Investment, Risk, Valuation and Finance to understand needs and translate them into technical designs

Collaboration with external resources: coordinate day‑to‑day with external developers on shared backlog items, ensuring consistent quality, patterns, and documentation across the codebase

Testing and release: support structured testing cycles and releases, working with super users to validate functionality before it reaches the wider organisation

Production support: troubleshoot and resolve issues in the live application — both the Power Platform components and the custom web application layer — protecting data integrity and keeping the platform reliable for daily use

Documentation: maintain clear technical documentation of the data model, configurations, and customisations to support governance and knowledge transfer

You bring hands‑on Power Platform and web development skills, and a collaborative mindset

With your background in Power Platform, Dynamics 365, and modern web development, you become invested in turning business requirements from investment, risk, valuation, or finance stakeholders into robust, well‑structured solutions.

We imagine that you:

Technical foundation: have a relevant degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience

Platform expertise: have solid hands‑on experience developing with Microsoft Dataverse, Power Apps (model‑driven and canvas), and Power Automate

Dynamics 365 knowledge: understand Dynamics 365 as a platform, including entity modelling, business rules, and security roles

Collaborative delivery: are comfortable working from a shared, continuously prioritised backlog alongside a Business Application Manager and external developers

Communication: communicate clearly with both technical colleagues and non‑technical business stakeholders across departments

Problem‑solving: take a structured, hands‑on approach to troubleshooting issues in a live, business‑critical application

Have experience with plugin development (C#) or PCF component development on the Power Platform

Are familiar with Azure DevOps and ALM practices for Power Platform and web application deployment

Having domain knowledge from investment management, risk, valuation, or finance processes, is a plus

Have experience from the financial sector or an impact‑focused organisation, is a plus

Our current environment is built on Microsoft technology and continues to evolve, with a growing web application layer alongside it. As Power Apps & Web Application Developer, you will work with:

Microsoft Dataverse (our core data platform for this application)

Microsoft Power Apps (model‑driven and canvas apps)

Microsoft Power Automate

Dynamics 365 as a platform (excluding functionality requiring a Dynamics 365 Sales licence)

Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O), as an integrated neighbouring system

Azure DevOps for backlog, source control, and release management

Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, and more)

What we offer

An opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects with real social and environmental impact

A focused, hands‑on role with real ownership of a growing, business‑critical platform

A collaborative, value‑driven, and international work environment

Opportunities for professional development, training, and continuous learning

A brand‑new office with modern facilities close to Nordhavn Metro and S‑Train station
