Job summary

Vestas is seeking a Senior Platform Engineering Specialist to own the architecture and evolution of our Internal Developer Platform. You will shape core capabilities such as Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, and secrets management, ensuring reliable and scalable delivery.

Join a compact, high-performing team split between Aarhus, Denmark and Porto, Portugal, with a hybrid work setup; you’ll own platform services end-to-end and drive improvements that impact hundreds of engineers.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in platform engineering, devOps, or infrastructure engineering in production environments.
Deep experience with Kubernetes including cluster management, RBAC, storage, and large-scale problems.
Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines in large engineering organizations (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent).
Extensive IaC experience with Terraform, Helm, and GitOps workflows like Argo CD or Flux.

Responsibilities

Own architecture and long-term technical direction for core platform capabilities — Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, secrets management, and source code hosting.
Manage and deliver complex platform migrations and major technical initiatives end-to-end, from design through production.
Set platform-wide standards and engineering practices and promote their adoption across development teams.
Act as the primary technical authority on platform decisions, balancing reliability, security, and developer experience.
Represent the platform in cross-team architecture forums and align on technical direction with senior engineering stakeholders.
