Job summary

Vestas is seeking a senior Data Warehouse Engineer in Aarhus to lead cloud modernization of our Plant Data data products. You will collaborate with Architects, SMEs, and stakeholders to define the roadmap for the plant data warehouse and oversee migration from legacy systems to cloud environments.

You will mentor engineers, participate in code and design reviews, and ensure robust data flows across a hybrid data platform supporting multiple applications for customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in cloud data warehousing domain.
• Experience migrating data workloads from on prem to cloud ETL + Data Warehouse.
• Experience with Azure, Snowflake, DBT.
• Extensive data modelling experience in cloud data warehouse.
• Familiarity with agile development and DevOps practices.
• Experience with Python or Py-Spark.

Responsibilities

• Work with Architects, SMEs, business and product stakeholders in identifying data products and workloads in legacy warehouse
• Co-own product architecture and define strategic roadmap for plant data warehouse
• Perform upstream and downstream impact analysis of complex data flows involving multiple source systems
• Design and deliver migration of data products from legacy to cloud setup
• Lead key POCs and mentor team data engineers on technical solutions
• Facilitate and contribute to code and design reviews
• Oversight and contribution to managing operational data products (Level 3 Support)
