Job summary

Norlys Energy Trading A/S is seeking a senior software engineer to lead the design and development of a platform that registers and manages client products and contracts. You’ll translate complex business requirements into scalable solutions for internal and external users, collaborating with business and development teams across Norlys Energy Trading.

You’ll guide architecture, promote data consistency and availability, and mentor developers while maintaining security and compliance standards

Qualifications

• A master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• Five+ years of experience building cloud software services.
• Experience with distributed systems, databases and event-driven architecture.
• Strong grasp of API design, design patterns and testing, with a track record of delivering scalable APIs.
• Hands-on experience with C#/.NET, or willingness to move to C#/.NET; fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop systems that support contract and product management.
• Define and run day-to-day service operations including monitoring, troubleshooting, documentation and incident resolution.
• Ensure high data consistency and availability across systems.
• Mentor developers through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Shape a productive team culture and continuously improve how we work.
• Set and follow security, compliance and data-handling standards in the software we build and operate.
