Job summary

EG Silkeborg Data in Denmark seeks a senior software developer to build, maintain, and modernise a mission-critical payroll platform for the public sector. You will work hands-on with DB2 and Cobol to deliver high-quality solutions and handle complex payroll logic.

The role can be based in Aarhus, Denmark, or in Poland. Office presence is expected, and collaboration spans Denmark and Poland with English as the working language.

Qualifications

• Experience with DB2 and Cobol in a complex domain.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to handle a high-stakes payroll platform.
• Fluent in English, spoken and written, across a global team.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain and modernise a mission-critical payroll platform.
• Develop new services in close collaboration with the team.
• Maintain a highly complex platform and resolve incidents.
• Ensure high quality through reviews and testing; reduce technical debt.
• Challenge processes and improve methods across the project.
