Job summary

OrderYOYO is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Payments to own and evolve the payments capabilities across online ordering and in-store platforms. You will drive money flows from authorisation to settlements, while improving reliability, security, and compliance in a high-change domain.

You will partner with Product, Legal/Compliance, Finance, and Support to implement safe, testable production behavior and scalable, auditable payment operations across a global restaurant platform.

Qualifications

• Strong backend engineering background in distributed systems.
• Production experience with payment flows and money-correctness patterns.
• A solid security mindset including PCI compliance and secrets management.
• Comfort with Azure-first environment and strong CI/CD practices.
• Clear communication with non-technical stakeholders in high-stakes scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate payment-domain services, including gateway integrations and flows.
• Implement marketplace capabilities: onboarding/KYC, settlement instructions, and invoicing.
• Build flow-of-funds primitives: idempotency, ledgers, audit trails.
• Integrate with PSP and partner tooling with attention to tri‑party/ sub‑merchant.
• Handle dispute/chargeback and fraud-handling touchpoints across workflows.
• Collaborate with Product, Legal/Compliance, Finance, Support to translate requirements into safe production behavior.
• Raise engineering quality through testing, safe rollouts, observability and incident-response; mentor engineers.
