Job summary

Novo Nordisk in Bagsværd, Denmark seeks a Senior Outsourcing Manager to lead outsourcing projects for drug substance and chemical synthesis with external CMO partners. You will drive progress, ensure high-quality deliveries, and protect IP rights.

You will influence decisions across functions, build external partnerships, and maintain strong stakeholder relations to advance drug development programs.

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Engineering or another relevant life science.
• 4–6+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech or another highly regulated industry.
• Strong understanding of the R&D value chain, drug development processes and cGMP requirements.
• Experience with outsourcing, CMO/CDMO collaboration and contract negotiations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, and the ability to navigate a complex organisation.

Responsibilities

• Lead outsourcing projects from initiation to completion with high quality deliveries.
• Select and approve CMOs and build collaborative external partnerships.
• Negotiate and maintain agreements with Contract Managers.
• Protect Novo’s IP rights while delivering high-quality assessments on time.
• Lead complex projects with colleagues and partners across the organisation.
