Job summary

Novo Nordisk A/S seeks a Lead Machine Learning Scientist to advance predictive modelling in molecular design and drug discovery. You will collaborate across Denmark and the US, applying state-of-the-art ML to solve complex scientific challenges and drive R&D impact.

You will lead projects from problem definition to deployment, mentor junior scientists, and communicate insights to stakeholders while contributing to publications and patents in a highly collaborative, global team.

Qualifications

• PhD in a quantitative field with industry experience.
• Experience applying ML to molecular design or computational drug discovery.
• Ability to lead technical projects and mentor scientists.

Responsibilities

• Leading predictive modelling projects from problem definition through deployment and impact assessment.
• Developing and applying advanced ML approaches for molecular modelling, evaluating new AI methods.
• Partnering with scientists, engineers, data scientists, and computational experts to translate questions into modelling solutions.
• Providing technical leadership and mentoring to junior ML scientists.
• Communicating insights to stakeholders and contributing to publications and patents.
