Job summary

MSL Engineering Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Piping Superintendent to lead on-site piping construction in mainland Europe. You will report to the Construction Manager/Lead Engineer and supervise safety, quality and commercial aspects while developing construction work packs and signing off test packs.

The role requires 3–5 years in construction engineering or as a trade supervisor, strong knowledge of piping isometrics and P&IDs, and effective coordination with other disciplines.

Qualifications

• Reporting to Construction Manager/Lead Engineer.
• Involvement in safety, construction, quality and commercial issues.
• Develop piping and equipment construction work packs.
• Sign off piping test packs for pre-test, pressure test and post-test.
• Record field welds for weld histories and piping test packs.
• Onsite coordination between Mechanical and other disciplines.
• Responsible for engineering in a defined area of construction.
• Resolve engineering queries in the field.
• Work with MSL piping supervisor to progress construction.
• Weekly progress reporting for the area.
• Weekly variation reporting to Cost engineer.
• Familiarise with scope of contract to monitor variations.
• Ensure equipment installed correctly within area.
• Use Navisworks 3D model for technical backup.
• Ensure materials, spools and supports on site for area.
• Work with QA lead to hand over piping systems on schedule.
• Excellent knowledge of piping isometrics and P&IDs.
• Min 3-5 years' experience in construction engineering or trade supervisor role.
