Job summary

MSL Engineering Ltd is seeking a Project Engineer (Mechanical) for Mainland Europe engagements. The role requires coordinating across disciplines, overseeing piping systems, and ensuring on-time handovers to clients.

The ideal candidate holds a relevant engineering degree with at least seven years of mechanical experience, strong reporting skills, and excellent knowledge of piping isometrics and P&IDs. Urgency noted in hiring; visa/work permit eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years mechanical experience.
• Relevant engineering degree.
• Hold excellent technical knowledge of mechanical systems and products.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Must have full understanding of complete MSL scope of work.
• You will be reporting to the Project Manager.
• Adherence to and promotion of company safety and quality policies.
• Supporting Area Engineers as required, and providing any necessary technical back up, to resolve engineering queries in the field.
• Work with MSL Construction Manager to monitor the construction schedule.
• Prioritising off-site pipe and support fabrication to follow construction schedule.
• Onsite co-ordination between Mechanical and other Disciplines.
• Weekly Progress Reporting to client and MSL Project Manager (MSL template), co-ordinating of Area Engineers progress reporting per area to support this.
• Weekly Variation reporting (Gathering this info from the area engineers to give it to MSL QS / Cost Engineer).
• Monitor MSL Scope of Work, and potential out-of-scope work on site.
• Ensure MSL supply equipment is ordered as required.
• Onsite co-ordination between Consultant / PSCS / CMT and Contractor.
• Co-ordination of project activity in conjunction with the offsite fabrication team.
• Attend weekly progress meetings.
• Safety audits and monitoring safety performance on site
• Working with MSL QA Lead to ensure piping systems are handed over to client on schedule.
• Excellent knowledge of piping isometrics and P&IDs is essential.
