Job summary

BlinkTroll Robotics in Odense is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Specialist to own complex mechanical systems from idea to field deployment, and to work closely with hardware, software, and embedded engineers.

You will design, prototype, and document with 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks, Fusion 360), produce 2D drawings, and take full ownership of manufacturing‑friendly designs while supporting testing and field trials.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of mechanical design experience in complex systems.
• Proficient in 3D CAD and DFM from concept to field deployment.
• Strong independent work ethic and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Experience turning concepts into manufacturable hardware.

Responsibilities

• Design and prototype mechanical systems from concept to field-ready.
• Collaborate with embedded, software, and electronics engineers.
• Develop 3D CAD models, assemblies, and docs (SolidWorks, Fusion360).
• Create 2D technical drawings.
• Own mechanical design decisions and implementation.
• Support assembly, testing, and troubleshooting in-house and in field tests.
• Help scale systems from prototype to small-scale production.
• Contribute ideas to system architecture and product design.
