Job summary

BEUMER Group A/S in Aarhus seeks a Senior Manager, processes to shape and optimize software development processes across our global Software Solution organization. You will design, implement, and drive improvements in process efficiency and quality.

You will collaborate with software engineering teams, lead a small specialist team, and ensure compliance with our process framework through audits and training. Some travel is expected, and you’ll communicate in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar.
• Experience with software development methodologies and/or software project management.
• Knowledge about agile software development processes, CMMI and similar methods and standards would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating current software process workflows to identify inefficiencies, develop and implement optimized processes, and lead continuous improvement and change management efforts throughout the organization.
• Supporting the deployment of software processes across all software departments as well as ensuring that teams are effectively trained and compliant with our mandatory software process framework.
• Ensuring software process compliance through regular audits during all software project phases, as well as monitor adherence to quality standards and mandatory procedures across the global software organization.

When millions of people every year check in their luggage in one airport and picking it up in another, it is due to the quality of BEUMER Groups complex baggage handling systems and the software running it. The level of quality is also present in our logistics solutions, where distribution centers daily sort thousands of parcels to be delivered all over the world.

As a Software Process Manager, you will be responsible for software process activities such as designing, implementing, and optimizing of our current software processes to improve operational efficiency, quality, and performance across the software solution organization. This role involves close collaboration with several software engineering teams to ensure our software processes are aligned and deployed in BEUMER's Software Solution organization.

We are a global organization, but you will be working from our office in Aarhus and be part of our software department. Here your responsibilities will be:

Proven Experience with Software Processes

We expect you to have a proven track record in software process management and knowledge of software process frameworks. We also imagine that you:

• Have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar.
• Have experience with software development methodologies and/or software project management.
• Knowledge about agile software development processes, CMMI and similar methods and standards would be an advantage.
• PMI, IPMA or Prince2 certified or similar training/certification would be a plus.
• Possess the ability to work both strategically and operationally.
• Some travel must be expected as we are an international organisation. You communicate fluently in English.

Moreover, you are an effective communicator, and you possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as you will be collaborating with colleagues across the whole software solution department.

Leader of a specialist team

You will be leading a small team of highly professional process specialists while at the same time driving software engineering across BEUMERs global software team. As such you will be in dialog with both group companies and product and project departments coordinating process initiatives and communicating process strategy, roadmap and best practices.
