Job summary

Demant is seeking an Experienced Firmware Engineer to join our Foundation Firmware area within the R&D Device SW organization. You will build the low level firmware for our hearing device platforms, delivering safe, efficient C code for resource‑constrained systems and collaborating across hardware, software and production teams.

You will work on IC bring-up, FPGA prototypes, and production-ready firmware with a focus on real-time guarantees and power efficiency.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering or similar.
• At least 3 years of embedded SW development experience.
• Strong C programming for real‑time, memory‑constrained systems.
• Familiarity with RTOS and hardware interactions.
• Experience with automation and CI/CD processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and test firmware for our chipset platform.
• Support bring-up, calibration and verification with hardware and production teams.
• Contribute to the definition and development of our ICs.
• Implement safe and efficient C code for real-time applications.
• Enable high quality through automated tests and CI/CD.
• Participate in team ceremonies and knowledge sharing.
