Job summary

Demant Group is seeking an experienced embedded firmware engineer to join the Foundation Firmware team in Smørum, near Copenhagen. You will develop low-level firmware for our custom ICs, focusing on real-time performance, memory efficiency and robust design.

Your work spans from IC bring-up to production, using C in memory and power-constrained environments. You’ll collaborate with hardware, software and production teams in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering or similar.
• 3+ years of embedded software development experience.
• Embedded C for memory, power and time constrained systems.
• Understanding of processor architectures and MCUs.
• RTOS and real-time HW handling.
• Reading hardware schematics.
• Use of measurement instruments (logic analyzers, oscilloscopes).
• Automated unit and system testing.
• Git version control.
• Linux, scripting and custom toolchains.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and test efficient firmware for our chipset platform.
• Support hardware and production bring-up, calibration and verification.
• Contribute to the development of internally developed ICs.
• Implement safe and efficient C code for real-time applications.
• Ensure high quality through automated tests and CI/CD.
• Participate in team ceremonies and knowledge sharing.
